God has brought us a new Priest-in-charge

Sept 1st, 2021 Reid Hamilton will join us as we continue God's work in the Hartwell community.

Welcome to St Andrew's Episcopal Church located in Hartwell, Georgia... the "best city by a dam site." Could that make us the "best Episcopal Church by a dam site?" That wouldn't be a bad thing, but what we'd rather want folks to say is that we are one of the friendliest and most welcoming churches around Lake Hartwell. We strive to be like "family", which many of us already feel we are. We'd love to have you come by and check us out sometime and see for yourself. We are open to worship together as before the pandemic, although we continue to  LIVE STREAM our services via Facebook for those who are not able to come in-person.  Beginning August 1st we will begin our Sunday services at 10:30 am.  St. Andrew's Service.

We at St. Andrew's strive to live and share the Gospel through love, service and worship!

St. Andrew's is a vibrant and healthy parish with an average Sunday attendance of 45 before Covid 19. We are located in a beautiful recreation area of Northeast Georgia. and are within an easy commute of several universities and other metropolitan areas. We seek an inspiring, collaborative leader to serve as rector (or Priest-in-Charge.) Hartwell, is a growing community in northeast Georgia with increasing industry and businesses, recreational activities and still maintaining small town living. Hart county has a good school system and local culture making it a great place to raise a family or enjoying life as an empty nester. We have plenty of both and continue to seek ways to grow so others will want to join in the fun.

We are VERY excited to begin a new chapter in our parish life with our new Priest in charge, Reid Hamilton and his wife Deb who will be joining us on September 1st. He will serve St. Andrew's, Hartwell & St. Alban's in Elberton and both congregations are eager to begin anew!

Before the pandemic we were averaging 45 at our worship services.

We have finally been allowed to open our doors as long as we can be as safe as possible with masks and social distancing and receiving the communion wafer from our priest. Above is the beginning of our Palm Sunday service which began outside with the blessing of Palms. Such a glorious day to come back together!

And we're BACK!

Sunday morning services, coffee/fellowship time after and soon Sunday school for the young and old!

Before covid 19 we were enjoying coffee hour after our Sunday service and enjoying food, fellowship and keeping up with each other in person.

We have had a really good turn out of folks who have missed the in-person option so as soon as we were able to meet in-person "outside we did so... but boy was it COLD!!! We have plenty more yard to fill!
